FAQs for Virtual Access
Do all attendees receive virtual access?
Yes. All attendees, both in-person and virtual, receive full access to the virtual platform.

Do I need to register separately for virtual access?
No. Virtual access is included with your conference registration. Please indicate your attendance category during registration. You can update your attendance category (in-person, virtual) should your plans change.

How to I participate in the virtual event?
The virtual platform link will be emailed to registrants and published on this webpage one week prior to the event. Attendees will use that link to visit the platform and login with their email address and reference number. Once logged in, attendees will have access to their purchased sessions and as the sessions air live a JOIN button will appear on the platform schedule page. A few hours after each live session concludes a RECORDING button will appear on the platform schedule page to access each lecture recording.

How do I earn CME virtually?
Virtual attendees will automatically earn credit for each lecture they view while logged in to their account on the virtual platform. Attendees have 90 days to view all lectures and earn CME. Once all of the lectures have been viewed, attendees can complete an evaluation survey to claim credit. The evaluation survey link will be emailed to attendees and is also available on the virtual platform.

When are recordings available?
Recordings are typically available a few hours after each session airs live and remain accessible for 90 days. Recordings are available on the same platform used for live-streamed sessions.

Do virtual attendees have all of the same benefits as in-person attendees?
To show our appreciation to those who travel to attend in person, we provide breakfast and lunch daily and access to a special performance and lecture by Dr. Richard Kogan worth an additional 1.5 CME credits. Virtual attendees can earn up to 8 credits for the pre-conference day and 24 credits for the 3 day NPA Update™, while in-person attendees have access to 8 credits for the pre-conference day and 25.5 credits for the 3 day Update™. While we encourage in-person attendance for its unique learning and networking opportunities, our virtual event is an excellent alternative for those with scheduling conflicts or budgetary constraints. We are thrilled to have offered this option for the past several years, allowing our conference to reach a wide and diverse audience of mental health practitioners.

Is the price different for virtual attendees?
No, the price is the same for all attendees of the NPA Psychopharmacology Update™. We keep the price the same for many reasons. There are many additional costs incurred to be able to live stream the event, including A/V equipment and virtual support staffing, platform costs, and more. These expenses ensure that our virtual attendees have a seamless and high-quality experience. The price of virtual registrations is applied towards these costs and allows us to continue to offer this option to our attendees each year. Additionally, we are only able to host the meeting due to the participation of our in-person attendees. The costs they contribute towards hotel rooms allow us to secure the meeting space required to host the event. Considering the other costs in-person attendees incur, such as travel and lodging, we do not feel it would be fair to charge them more for participation in the event.
